Background

Rosaleen Rainford

Rosaleen has a background in the arts, education and administration. Prior to Quay Arts, Rosaleen managed community art projects including the annual Art Trail ‘Art In Windows’ in Killaloe Ballina. In 2010 she co-founded Quay Arts gallery and art school and managed it for nine years. During this time Rosaleen worked with many local artists delivering a wide and varied programme in the art school. This included workshops and classes for all age groups such as painting, portraiture, life drawing, ceramics, textiles, photography, drama and dance.

Quay Players Amateur drama group was established at Quay Arts and Rosaleen co-ordinated two productions a year. Rosaleen also curated regular exhibitions and events in Quay Arts Gallery. Rosaleen has been delivering Creative Workshops directly to schools since January 2019.
